Architecture: Stages of Design
This project called for the combination of multiple aspects of design. Initially, an axonometric cube was created in order to perform a study of positive and negative space. The cube modeling was followed by the documentation of all faces with drafted elevations. The second stage of this project was to create a pattern. After manipulating and repeating the pattern to complete a more complex conception, specific shapes within the pattern were designated elevations to determine a landscape. The final stage of the project recalled the positive/negative space study within the axonometric cube to determine the structure to reside on the landscape. Both the spacial study and the pattern were slightly abstracted, accumulating to an interactive whole. Once the final model was completed, a plan and several section elevations were produced to further document the complex.
